10000 Pesetas Banknote
Issued by the Bank of Spain
In 1992, the Bank of Spain issued the 10000 Pesetas banknote into general circulation. The note features Luis H and Jorge Juan y Santacilia, and bears the signature of Rey Juan Carlos I.
Demonetization and Withdrawal
On January 1, 2002, the 10000 Pesetas note was demonetized and withdrawn from circulation. It was replaced by the euro as the official currency of Spain.
